January and February

Hello! We've been learning a lot in the past couple of months! After the holidays, we looked at Spain's geography and what latitude and longitude are. The following week we kept our focus on Spain and took a look at the Meseta Central. Students learned what mountains and rivers are part of the Meseta and which ones are not. Our lessons continued with Spain's relief where we learned about Spain's depressions and coastlines as well as the elements and characteristics of a river. At this point the students had learned a lot of information for just one unit! Fortunately, there were online activities about mountain ranges like this worksheet and games (this one, too!) and other activities and worksheets to try and see how much they remembered about the physical relief of Spain.

At the end of the unit we took a look at the highlights of all that we had learned. We also played a game to review all of the content before the exam. We began the new unit about living organisms and cells. For this, we learned about the organization of cells, the types of cells, and the vital functions of a cell. This leads us into our next topic which will be classifying animals. That's all for now, but stay tuned for more information on all the content that's to come 😊
